I’ll be reading a paper at the ETS Annual Meeting that argues that the text of the Gospels in Codex Vaticanus B is even earlier than that of P75, and that Codex Vaticanus B marks 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 as a later addition: “Distigme-Obelos Symbols Marking Added Text, Including 1 Corinthians 14:34-35.” I will be showing photographs of all eight distigme-obelos symbols in Codex Vaticanus B and a photograph of a distigme in the 4th to 5th century LXX G, demonstrating the use of the distme symbol near the time Codex Vaticanus was written. The presentation and discussion will be from 4:30 to 5:10 PM on Tuesday Nov. 17 in room 405 of the Atlanta Hilton in the Evangelicals and Gender session.
